Prior to questions by thousands of Jamb Aspirants, on how to effectively prepare for the forthcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) annually organised by JAMB, this post clearly elucidates nine (9) points for maximum success when applied
1. Have a study schedule
Create a time table on the four (4) subjects, you will be writing in UTME and follow it up with voracious studying. It should be slated based on your convenient time to ensure rapt attention and focus.
Study each subject, at least twice every week!
2. Utilize the Morning hours
As scientifically discovered, the Brain cells are very active at early hours of the morning, it is advisable to study at such hours for easy understanding, this period is likely devoid of noise and distraction.
3. Dont Procastinate Your Time os Study
Early Preparation is the key to success, it is never too early to prepare, UTME is barely four (4) months from today, start studying with guidance using your time table.
4. Avoid Exam Anxiety/Fear:
Fear is the greatest enemy of success, don't be afraid of failure, always believe you will score high(300+) in Jamb. Be prepared, your success awaits you!
5. Associate with hard working people
Keep company with studious and avid readers, the friends you keep plays a major role in preparing for Jamb. Possibly, have a study mate, who will always motivate you to study effectively.
6. Answer past questions repeatedly
Jamb past questions are often repeated, but in a different format, get a complete compilation of past questions, for the subjects you are writing and test your knowledge with it.
7. Work on your question answering speed:
Jamb's Exam is a regulated one, you have only two(2) hours to answer over 180 questions, it's clear that speed wins the day. Test your speed using the past questions, time yourself using a stop watch and see how best you can answer 180 questions within the slated duration.
Practice this until your speed level is accurate.
8. Keep your Cell phones away while studying:
To prepare effectively, your phone as well other distractions should be afar off, also minimize your time on social media. Remember, failure in Jamb will deny you admission especially in competitive courses like Medicine, Law etc.
